Arsenal II, The Real Gun Factory
Starting Sept. 11, 2001, when the US War on Terror began, Colt Defense has doubled manufacturing output of M-4 machine gun weapons systems for the US Department of Defense and the military Special Forces, producing and delivering approx 8,000 machine guns per month.
Colt defense also sells and distributes the M-4 weapons system to 80 foreign countries including Israel, Colombia, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Philippines, and France. It is widely speculated the US military will soon designate the M-4 weapons system as the new standard issue rifle for all armed service men and women. For 150 years, Colt has been a major world producer of Military equipment, including the M-16 machine gun (the current standard issue rifle. Approximately over 8 million M-16s have been placed into Military service to date.
